Jason is a co-founder of Wharthog Ventures in 2012. He is active in evaluating, investing, managing and leading multiple businesses.
Over the last 20 years, Jason has owned, operated and sold a number of companies. In 2005, he raised a $100 million real estate fund focused on lending on commercial properties. In 2009, he acquired a commercial construction company and increased revenue 4 times over the next decade. In 2012, he acquired, built and exited a hardware and software technology provider based in Idaho and Washington. In 2013, he started an online lending company that is operating in five states. In 2015, he started a specialty construction company, which has rapidly expanded. He is an opportunistic investor and loves to build and lead teams. Jason is passionate about building businesses and people.
Jason earned a BS in accounting from Brigham Young University in 1997 and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. He is an ironman, inactive CPA, avid reader and pilot. He and his wife, Jen, are the parents of four children who love to travel and explore.
